FullGonzo Rock 'n' Roll Stuff is owned and operated by Jay 'Gonzo' Owen.  He started playing in bands in the Port Hope & Cobourg Area in 1990 which, after high school in '96, turned into 7 years managing ZAP Records in Cobourg.  From 1993-2009 Jay has performed at, promoted, organized, ran sound for, jumped in on and/or rescued over 400 gigs and concerts.  His bands, personal music and relationships have reached such notables as producers for the Beatles and Eric Clapton, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Jimmy Vaughan, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Elvis Costello and others.

You Wanna Be What?

Lets face it, getting 'signed' is a thing of the past.  You'll turn down record contracts as much as have them ripped out from under your pen.  In the end it's all a bunch of hype.  You either hook up with an entertainment agent that starts sucking the blood out of you, or you find a good promoter and hope you know what to do next.

Here is what we have done for ourselves for years, and will now do for you:

• A Web Site that you can control, of any shape or size.
• Merchandise that is made to sell on your site, or at your gigs.
• Audio/Video and Recording services in Ontario
• Access to suppliers of products, Vinyl Manufacturers, CD's and More!

• Just plain honest help from people who want good rockin' in every town!

 

Here is a quick overview of how we typically do it here at FullGonzo:

FullGonzo is the merch provider for ZAP-Music.com  (visit the ZAP Music site to see what musicians are getting out of the deal)

We meet a band or a band contacts us and we agree on a 6 month to 1 year plan with them for the following...

• Web Site - On ZAP Music or on their own server and hosting with their own .com etc
• Recording and/or MP3 Sales.  Band chooses live or studio recording or sends us their tracks
• Will you have a Gig Lister, photo gallery or video archive added to the site?
• A payment plan and payout system are agreed on by you and ZAP Media owner J. Owen

THE GOAL is to set bands up with everything they need for a web site and merch/mp3 sales, and use a profit margin to pay for the services we are offering.

It's a totally open ended system, we can do everything for you, or we can help you do it yourself.

You may just want us to set up a simple stand alone website for your band.  No Problem.

YOU ALWAYS DECIDE.  No contracts.  It's the way a record company should work.  We promote and help what you're doing, you keep working to give us something to promote.
